Education of Finno-Ugric students in Estonia

Since 1999, over 200 young representatives of kindred peoples have been able to study in Estonia’s universities. Programme grantees have studied in public institutions of higher education (University of Tartu, Tallinn University, Estonian Academy of Arts, Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, Tallinn University of Technology and Estonian University of Life Sciences) focusing on diverse fields: Estonian and Finno-Ugric linguistics, Law, Ethnology, Journalism, Cultural Studies, Folkloristics, Psychology, Art History, Medicine, Economics, Business Management, Environmental Technologies, Product Design, etc.
Since 2016, scholarships of the Kindred Peoples’ Programme are administered by SA Archimedes.
