3rdWorld Congress of Finno-Ugric Peoples
Helsinki, Republic of Finland
December 10–13, 2000
The main theme of the Congress was “Finno-Ugric world at the third millennium – perspectives for development”. The Congress was held in Finlandia-talo with Suomi-Venäja-Seura (Finnish-Russian Association) as the main organizer along with M.A. Castrén Society. For the first time, Presidents of the three Finno-Ugric nation states – Estonia, Hungary and Finland – attended the Congress.
The Congress was attended by 600 delegates and observers and adopted a resolution.
